MAPL Seeds with Mark X

Thursdays 2-4pm (live on ThatChannel.com):
Once while hitchhiking through Chicago with some good friends, some of whom were in prominent Toronto bands, we introduced ourselves to a young punkish kid sitting on the grass in front of an art gallery. We were trying to find Billion's house, or more specifically Billion's roommate's place, a guy named Steve Albini. So we were asking this kid questions, talking about music and why we were in Chicago and suddenly he looked at us with this puzzled expression. "So ...", he said, "... what's up with Canada anyway ... I mean ... why don't you have any bands other than Skinny Puppy?" This show, MAPL Seeds, is for him and all others who dare to ask such a stupid question.

Join me, Mark X, each week as I explode the paradigm of CANCON (legislated Canadian content or the MAPL music system) with my God awful piles of burnt and ripped music. Hear the stuff the CBC neglects to play! ACID FOLK, NO WAVE, ELECTRO, PUNK ROCK, DISCO, GOTH, SOUND, WAR METAL, NOISE, TRANCE, SWING, GREASER, POWER POP, GLAM, PROG, PSYCH, CABARET, LOUNGE, ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC, PLUNDERPHONIC ... ETC ...

This is OUR music.
