Epic Retro

Saturdays 10-12noon (live on ThatChannel.com):
(Repeated Sunday 11PM-1AM). Epic Retro, hosted by yours truly, Dylan Fuhr. Here's the skinny on the show: Epic Retro is a radio show all about that thread that runs through popular music from the dawn of recorded history up to present day. The thread starts in th 1920's with rural blues and early jazz, and moves through the 30's and 40's swing music and pop vocal, on to 50's and 60's Rock n Roll, R & B and Soul. I'll play crunchy North American Rock and Roll and catchy Britpop from the 60's, 70's and 80's. you'll hear 70's and 80's punk and new wave, as well as newer, more recent stuff from artists I dig. I hope you'll dig 'em as well. Basically, we'll take a 2 hour emotional and intellectual journey through my twisted mind and music collection. It's eclectic with a capital "E", y'know, Retro on an Epic scale, baby. I know, that's a mighty long thread. Sometimes, it'll stretch, sometimes it'll snap, sometimes it'll get all tangled up. Sometimes you'll tune in and totally dig the show, sometimes you'll wonder what the hell I'm doing. But you'll never be bored. and I might tell you something you didn't know about music that you love. Roots, Rock, Blues, Pop, Soul and more ... i'll give it all some context, some cheesy humour and some surprises for you every now and then. And if I play something you don't understand right away, just keep listening - it'll all make sense, I promise. And remember - everyone's entitled to my opinion. Hey ho, let's go.
